Assistant Development Manager – Hotel Design & Development | Luxury Hospitality Group

To support its growth, we’re seeking an Assistant Development Manager with a passion for hotel design and development.
About the role
As the Assistant Development Manager, you’ll work alongside senior development leaders to deliver new build and repositioning projects across the group’s luxury hotel portfolio. You’ll be deeply involved in design coordination, approvals, sustainability initiatives and guest‑experience enhancements. You’ll support projects from concept through to handover, ensuring that design excellence, ESG commitments and brand standards are embedded in every stage.
Key responsibilities
Assist with feasibility, concept design and master planning for new hotels and retreat projects, incorporating sustainability and wellness trends.
Coordinate with architects, interior designers and consultants to ensure designs align with brand standards and guest‑experience storytelling.
Support development directors with budgeting, programming, tendering and contract administration, ensuring projects run on time and within budget.
Manage planning approvals and documentation, liaising with authorities and internal stakeholders.
Conduct market research on hotel design trends, ESG considerations and wellness innovations to inform project design.
Provide regular reports on project progress, risks and milestones to senior management.
About you
Degree in Architecture, Design, Construction Management or a related field.
2-3 years’ experience in hotel or mixed‑use development, design management or project management, with exposure to design‑led projects.
Strong understanding of sustainable design, guest experience storytelling and wellness trends.
Experience managing consultants and coordinating design documentation.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Passion for luxury hospitality and a desire to grow within a leading hotel investment group.
