We are experiencing a period of rapid growth, and are seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to work closely with our team based in Sydney.

About the Role

The Site Supervisor is a leadership role for a candidate looking to expand their experience within the construction industry. As Site Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the site from site establishment through to completion, ensuring its completion on time and to the expected quality and safety within program.

Key Responsibilities

Overall site management responsibilities

Site establishment in accordance with site management plans and Avium’s IMS

Approving and implementing all access and safety systems (both site and third parties).

All site personnel and contractor’s safety, inductions, registrations, SWMS and ITP’s

Overseeing all traffic management and ensuring site is always secure in accordance with IMS and WHS requirements

Ensuring site, amenities, access and security are always tidy, clean and maintained

Trades/Contractor’s productivity, programs, quality, inspections, hold points, commissioning and handover

Excellent skills in communication, especially with stakeholders

Identifying and mitigating site risks, construction detailing and methodology

Maintaining accurate project documentation, including daily site records and incident reports

Mandatory Prerequisites

Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreman for schools, preferably government projects (experience on at least 3-5 sites).

Certificate IV in Building and Construction or equivalent

Diploma or degree in the construction industry

What You’ll Bring

High proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders

Ability to work well independently and as a leader of a team

Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment; problem solving, making decisions and resolving conflict

Experience in implementing Integrated Management Systems, construction management software and reporting tools for site

Understanding of construction practices, sequencing of methodology and value of building related goals

Experience working on live sites with the awareness to address potential risks to all stakeholders including the public and workspace. Implementing mitigation measures to prevent potential risks.
