College of Medicine and Public Health

About the Role
As a key member of the College Executive Support Team, the Project Officer plays a pivotal role in coordinating, supporting, and delivering executive-led projects, programs, and initiatives that align with the strategic and operational priorities of both the College and the University.
Working under broad direction and reporting to the Senior Executive Officer, the Project Officer operates with a high degree of autonomy and collaborates closely with members of the college executive team. The role requires proactive engagement across a matrix environment, fostering strong relationships within college teams and with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
This position acts as a vital link between college leadership and the broader university community, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and execution of strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own workload and priorities, guided by the College's objectives and operating within established policies and external requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proven experience in project coordination or project management within complex environments.
- High-level interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in working with executives or senior managers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong research, analytical and written communication skills across a broad range of university areas with an ability to critically synthesise and convey information.
- A commitment to quality outcomes with high attention to detail and the ability to understand a broader strategic context.
