Position Overview
We are seeking a confident, motivated, and experienced Salon Manager to lead our passionate team and uphold the exceptional standards of service that define Alchemy Salon. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, operational savvy, and a deep understanding of the hair and beauty industry. This is a hands-on role, requiring both day-to-day operational management and high-level strategy implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Staff Management
Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of stylists, apprentices, and front-of-house staff
Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one performance reviews
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and development
Manage scheduling, rosters, and shift coverage to ensure optimal team performance
Foster a positive salon culture based on respect, creativity, and collaboration
Client Experience & Service Standards
Maintain an exceptional level of customer service across all client touchpoints
Handle client feedback and conflict resolution with professionalism and empathy
Ensure consistent adherence to consultation and service protocols
Oversee the client journey to maintain alignment with Alchemy Salon’s brand values
Operational & Financial Management
Monitor and manage salon KPIs including rebooking rates, retail sales, and productivity
Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
Oversee daily operations including opening/closing, cleanliness, and salon presentation
Track weekly and monthly performance against financial goals and budgets
Assist with marketing campaigns, promotions, and social media strategy execution
Compliance & Policy Oversight
Ensure team adherence to all Alchemy Salon policies and procedures
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
Manage leave, payroll support, and employee documentation
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in a salon management or senior coordination role
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a team-first mindset
Deep understanding of salon operations and client service excellence
Proficient in salon management software (e.g., Kitomba, Timely, or similar)
Solid knowledge of current hair trends, retail products, and industry benchmarks
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
