Our leading government client is seeking a reliable and detail-driven Senior Finance Officer to join their high-performing Financial Accounting and Reporting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to maintain general ledger integrity
• Assist with the preparation of general and specific purpose financial statements
• Ensure accurate reporting using SAP and Excel
• Interpret and apply Australian Accounting Standards and relevant public sector legislation
• Contribute to the creation and review of finance policies and procedures
• Support asset accounting and maintain financial registers (beneficial but not mandatory)

Ideal Applications

• Proven experience in financial accounting or reporting (government experience desirable)
• Strong working knowledge of SAP (desirable)
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and reporting
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and team collaboration
