About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to support major energy infrastructure projects for a leading international service provider to the energy industry. You will play a key role in delivering accurate cost control, forecasting, and reporting to help project teams manage budgets and mitigate risks effectively.

This position sits within a collaborative, high-performing project controls function and is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on accuracy, process improvement, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver timely, accurate cost reports and forecasts

Develop and improve cost control tools, processes, and procedures

Partner with project managers and budget holders to support effective budget management

Lead variance analysis across cost, quantities, hours, and productivity

Assess and manage variations and claims from subcontractors and vendors

Support project reviews and provide relevant cost insights

Mentor and provide guidance to junior cost control personnel

Build and maintain historical cost databases for future reference

What We’re Looking For

Experience in cost control roles within Oil & Gas or related process industries, ideally including large-scale international projects

Quantity Surveying qualification is favourable

Proven skills in cost forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting

Strong understanding of WBS and project lifecycle cost control requirements

Ability to develop and implement standards, processes, and procedures

Experience leading and mentoring junior team members

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, adaptable to various audiences
