We are a small boutique accounting firm located in Melbourne’s CBD, looking for a Junior to Intermediate Accountant with a keen interest in SMSFs, tax compliance, and cloud-based accounting systems.

You’ll work closely with senior team members and gain experience with BGL Simple Fund 360, Xero Practice Manager, and a wide range of client work across individuals, companies, and trusts.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with preparation of:

- SMSF financial statements and annual returns using BGL Simple Fund 360
- Individual, company, and trust tax returns
- Assist with GST reporting and BAS preparation
- Use Xero Practice Manager (XPM) to manage job tracking and tasks
- Support compliance with tax and superannuation legislation
- Liaise with clients to collect documents and resolve queries
- Contribute to audit preparation for SMSFs
- Learn from experienced accountants and participate in ongoing training

Who We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years’ experience in public practice (or relevant internship)
- Some exposure to or keen interest in SMSFs and tax compliance
- Experience with Xero Practice Manager and BGL Simple Fund 360 is advantageous
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Currently studying or planning to study CA/CPA (support available)

Salary to be negotiated based on experience + study support + career development (range $60,000 - $80,000pa)
