Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated General Practitioner to join our team in Bidyadanga on a full time basis. This role is located in Bidyadanga Community, WA. You will provide comprehensive primary health care services that align with best practise standards, ensuring that every individual feels valued and respected. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality health services tailored to the unique needs of the community.
Your role will include supporting the education and training of the local healthcare workforce, actively participating in health program initiatives, and ensuring that every patient receives culturally safe and competent care. Who You Are
As a candidate for this role, you are not just a physician; you are a dedicated advocate for health equity. You possess the following:
- Eligibility for registration in WA with a minimum of 5 years of experience in general practise or primary health care.
- A strong commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and cultural competency.
- Experience in managing emergencies in remote settings.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- A valid “C” class driver’s licence
- Federal Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check.
- Current GP Supervisor accreditation or eligibility to train for it.

About Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services
KAMSC (Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Council) is a regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS), providing a collective voice for a network of member ACCHS from towns and remote communities across the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
The Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) was the first Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) established in the Kimberley in 1978, and was followed by the East Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Service (EKAMS, in Kununurra) in 1984. The vision for a unified voice, to provide centralised resources and collective advocacy for the sector, achieved reality in 1986 with the establishment of KAMSC.
