The opportunity
As our Senior Software Developer, you will have the opportunity to apply technical knowledge to develop, maintain and implement solutions into the Salesforce platform and services. Your expertise will contribute to our vision to be the digital partner of choice in the Queensland Public Sector.
The Senior Software Developer, will be responsible to:
- Translate conceptual, logical and physical solutions into application software.
- Collaborate with business areas, practical solutions that balance system performance, usability, cross-system dependencies, scalability, re-usability, overall cost to develop and maintain while meeting the defined business needs.
- Monitor performance to ensure delivery meets service standards in accordance with service level agreements and business needs.
- Mentor and coach junior staff to build capability for ITPs emerging professionals.
- Prepare cost analyses, design considerations and implementation timeframes for proposed application developments.
- Undertake the administrative of the Salesforce platform and monitoring of solution implementations
- Actively participate and contribute to an inclusive and diverse environment promoting respect, ethical practices, workplace safety, equity knowledge sharing and a positive workplace culture.
What we are looking for (qualifications, registrations, experience)

- configuration, customisation and development patterns and tools
- data modelling and management
- DevOps practices including version control and CI/CD.
- Demonstrated use of and strong skills and experience across Salesforce:
- Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering Salesforce-based solutions in enterprise or government environments.
- Strong knowledge in all phases of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience in leading Salesforce projects or teams, including planning, resource allocation, mentoring and adherence to standards and timeframes.
- You must have the legal right to live and work in Australia.
- Experience in Agile project delivery methodologies. Desirable
- Salesforce certifications. Desirable
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline. Desirable
