ENGINEERING TECHNICAL OFFICER
The Shire of Denmark is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to coordinate and deliver minor infrastructure projects that meet the needs of the community.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Engineering Technical Officer to join our Infrastructure and Assets team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the planning, development, and maintenance of local infrastructure that supports our growing community.
Key Responsibilities:
· Can project manage from start to finish, monitoring and controlling both the technical and financial aspects of projects.
· Provide technical assistance in the design, assessment, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, footpaths, and public amenities.
· Assist in preparing and reviewing technical drawings, plans, and estimates.
· Conduct inspections, site assessments, and compliance monitoring of public works.
· Is an innovator who initiates, refines and implements creative ideas/solutions.
· Can work autonomously at a high level with minimum supervision.
· Respond to community and stakeholder enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
· Can deliver a high level of customer service with confidence, has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to assist a diverse range of customers.
· Ensure that all works comply with relevant legislation, standards, and Council policies.
· Has input on new/future developments within the Shire.
· Has the ability to balance office and field work.
· Wants to be a part of a strong team culture and demonstrate the ability to multitask within the team.
· Works well with technology and can efficiently operate a range of computer systems.
Position Requirements:
· Project and Contract management experience.
· Experience in monitoring, compliance and reporting.
· Competence in using AutoCAD and other design or asset management software.
· Experience in GIS and/or experience in similar role (desirable).
· ‘C’ Class drivers licence.

Hours: Part-time position working 30 hours per fortnight.
Salary: $77,100.00 per annum pro rata and up to 17% superannuation, plus additional benefits.
