About the role:
As an Insurance and Payments Officer, you'll be a steady and trusted guide for members navigating significant life events. From processing claims to liaising with medical and legal professionals, you'll ensure every detail is handled with care and precision.

In this role, you'll take on tasks such as:

Managing insurance underwriting applications

Processing Death, Total and Permanent Disablement, Terminal Illness & Income Protection payments

Communicating sensitive decisions with empathy and professionalism

Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders

Investigating and resolving complex insurance issues

Supporting continuous improvement and compliance initiatives

About you:
You are detail oriented, empathetic, and thrive in a fast paced environment. You bring a mix of analytical thinking, customer service excellence, and a genuine desire to help others. You're not just good with numbers-you're great with people.

We're looking for someone who:

Communicates clearly and compassionately, even in sensitive situations

Interprets legislation and regulatory requirements with confidence

Demonstrates strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Calculates complex benefit payments and taxation accurately

Is proficient in spreadsheets and database applications

Understands insurance claims, underwriting, and superannuation administration
