Our PositionRockcote is seeking a Colour & Sales Assistant to join our Sunshine Coast Trade Hub, located in Yandina. This position is full-time working 76 hours per fortnight. The core hours are between 6.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday and staff are on a set roster to ensure coverage across these hours.
The Colour & Sales Assistant is primarily responsible for coordinating the sample request and preparation process and managing the colour database. Additional responsibilities also include customer service, processing customer orders, picking and packing orders, scheduling deliveries and inventory management.
Responsibilities

• Create custom colours using the colour formulation database and prepare samples of products in accordance with specifications.
• Manage the full sample process, including entering sample requests into NetSuite, receipting payments and posting the samples.
• Perform colour matching and tinting as required using existing formulas.
• Provide excellent customer service, including assisting with product enquiries, processing customer orders and payments, and accurate entry of delivery notes.
• Understand external transport systems for effective customer service.
• Participate in cycle counts to manage inventory levels.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements and 5s housekeeping principles.

About You

• Practical experience in a similar role, such as trade store/counter or customer service roles
• Must have strong administration skills, including intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
• Personable and able to provide excellent customer service, both in-person and over the phone.
• Ability to work in an environment that is fast paced and hands on.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks including lifting bags and buckets up to 25kgs.
• Drivers licence required to assist with local deliveries, as required.
• Forklift licence, or willing to obtain.
