HD / Mobile Plant Mechanics – Temporary | Forrestdale Workshop

Complete Field Maintenance (CFM) is seeking experienced HD Fitters / Mobile Plant Mechanics for upcoming shutdown work at our fully equipped Forrestdale workshop. This is short-term work with the potential for ongoing casual or part-time opportunities for the right candidates.

Self-employed subcontractors with ABNs are welcome to apply.

What’s on Offer

Temporary workshop-based role – no site travel required

Preferred roster: 13 days on / 1 day off (flexible to suit your availability)

12 hour Shifts - Competitive hourly rates

Super paid on all hours worked (Excludes Sub Contractors)

Fortnightly pay cycle

Be home every night – no FIFO or camp work

Exposure to large blast hole drill rigs and heavy mobile plant

Potential for future part-time or ongoing work

Work Environment
All shutdown work is conducted inside our large, fully enclosed Forrestdale workshop, built to support safe and efficient maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out removal, repair, and installation of major components

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy mobile plant

Test and inspect plant and equipment post-repair

Interpret and work from hydraulic and electrical schematics

Meet daily maintenance targets working both independently and with others

Conduct pre-task risk assessments and apply safe work practices

Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work areas

What You’ll Need

Australian-recognised Heavy Duty / Plant Mechanic trade certificate

Broad experience with mobile plant and equipment, including drills

Ability to work independently and deliver quality outcomes

Strong focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency

Valid C Class Driver’s Licence

High-risk work licences (LF, WP, CN, DG) are advantageous but not essential

Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
