The Strategy and Support Division works directly with people, clinicians, researchers and policymakers. Our purpose is to reduce inequities and improve outcomes for all people affected by cancer, now and into the future. Our division comprises of Cancer Information and Support Services, Research Governance and Business Operations, Cancer Strategy and the McCabe Centre for Law & Cancer.

About your opportunity

We are seeking a Manager – Priority Populations to join the Cancer Navigation Project team as part of the Strategy and Support Division. Reporting to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Service Delivery Lead your role is to:

  • Lead the integration of inclusive service design into the National Cancer Navigation Project, ensuring the needs of priority populations are central to planning and delivery.
  • Collaborate with ta diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to drive national diversity & inclusion initiatives in cancer support services.
  • Coordinate research insights and consultancy outputs to support data-informed, equitable service development and implementation.
  • Apply strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills to address systemic disparities and promote health equity across the service.
  • May provide leadership and supervision to direct reports in line with project needs and strategic objectives.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about health equity, with experience driving inclusive, people-centred programs or services.
  • Is a strategic thinker with strong project management skills and a track record of delivering outcomes in complex environments.
  • Is confident in engaging diverse stakeholders and translating data or research into practical, equity-focused solutions.
  • Is a clear communicator who can influence, collaborate, and advocate for the needs of priority populations.

What we can offer you

  • Base salary of $99,648 to $116,882 p.a. (dependant on experience, pro rata for part time) plus superannuation (Superannuation paid in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992 (Cth).
