Architectural Draftsperson / Technician (Casual or Contract)

Location: Flexible (Remote, In-Office, or Hybrid)

Commitment: 2–3 days per week (with potential to increase)

THE DRAFTING LAB is seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Draftsperson or Technician with demonstrated experience in commercial and industrial construction. This role is offered on a casual or contract basis, approximately 2–3 days per week, with the possibility of expanding hours to suit mutual needs. We have secured a strong pipeline of work extending over the next 12–18 months.

Key Requirements:

Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); experience with Revit is highly regarded

Strong knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards

Practical understanding of commercial construction methodologies, particularly tilt-up panel construction

Experience with projects in the $3M–$25M construction value range

You’ll be working on a variety of projects from external architects, as well as work from our internal design division, which operates as a separate entity and regularly feeds our team with additional drafting projects.

Ability to meet in person from time to time (Perth metro area)
