Goldmont Engineering specialises in Heavy Earthmoving Repairs and General Fabrication for the mining industry. We are seeking a Computer-Aided-Design Draftsperson to work in our Kalgoorlie office.

This is a residential role based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia - FIFO is not offered and visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants must already have the right to work in Australia and be willing to reside locally.

The successful applicant will bring proven experience from similar roles to design a wide variety of mining equipment. Every day will be different, and you will be working with a team of people with strong industry experience.

Applicants must hold:

advanced experience with 2D AutoCAD & 3D Inventor software. Part-time or graduate exposure to AutoCAD is not sufficient for this role.

strong understanding of fabrication processes and fit-for-purpose design principles.

Proven ability to deliver accurate, detailed and efficient drawings to support workshop production.

valid 'C' class drivers licence.

The following skills will be preferred:

experience with Solidwork software.

producing dimensioned workshop drawings.

measuring components and reverse engineering.

design innovation and optimization.

3D scanning experience, ideally with Artec 3d & Quick Surface.

This is an important role in the company, and we are seeking candidates who can draft designs accurately and efficiently. Accurate and fit-for-purpose drawings are necessary to facilitate efficient fabrication work.
