About the role

Just Better Care Melbourne Metro North is seeking a casual Greek or Italian-speaking Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide tailored in-home care and support to our elderly and clients living with disability who speak Greek or Italian as their primary language. The focus of this position is on delivering a high level of culturally-sensitive care and assisting clients to maintain their independence and quality of life.

What you'll be doing

Providing personal care assistance, including help with bathing, grooming, and dressing

Preparing nutritious meals and helping with light household duties

Accompanying clients to appointments, social engagements, and community activities

Engaging clients in recreational activities and conversation in their preferred language

Documenting client progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team

Adhering to all workplace policies, procedures, and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Fluency in Greek or Italian, with the ability to communicate effectively with elderly and clients living with disability

Previous experience providing in-home care or support work, particularly with elderly

A caring, patient, and empathetic nature with a strong commitment to client-centred care & support

Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent

A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle

Strong organisational and time management skills

The ability to work independently and as part of a care team
