Broome CIRCLE has been providing an award winning Financial Counselling Service for over 20 years and we are currently recruiting for a Financial Counsellor to join our innovative and dedicated team. Our Money Support Hub team provide service delivery within the Broome township and outreach to communities within the Shire of Broome including Bidyadanga, Beagle Bay, Djarindjin, Lombadina and Ardyaloon. Qualifications & experience
Diploma of Financial Counselling (applicants currently studying will be considered)
Experience in community engagement, case management and advocacy.
Demonstrated ability to work within a financial counselling framework and effectively deliver financial counselling services.
Demonstrated passion for improving the lives of vulnerable people through financial counselling and social justice approach.
Maintain a sensitivity toward and awareness of cultural diversity and culturally secure practice.
Tasks & responsibilities
Provide case work support to Financial Counselling clients
Deliver Financial Literacy Education Workshops
Willingness to work across agency sites and travel within the Shire of Broome region on regular outreach to communities.
Prepare and maintain case notes to meet our funding and accountability requirements.
Minimum Practice Standards (adopted by AFCCRA and FCAWA).
Experience working with technology and Microsoft office products like Word and Excel to produce reports and documents to meet funding and Agency requirements.

Excellent remuneration as per the SCHADS Award 2025 level 4/5.
