THE POSITION

This role works closely with consumers and communities to provide confidential financial assessment, information and support. As Case Worker with our Award-winning Money Support Hub team, you will assist clients to increase their knowledge about money matters and empower them to make informed decisions to build long-term capability to manage their money. We deliver our services in Broome, and provide outreach services to Djarindjin, Lombadina, Ardyaloon, Beagle Bay and Bidyadanga. SELECTION CRITERIA
Casework experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively with vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated negotiation skills, including the ability to use initiative to resolve issues.
Experience working with technology and all Microsoft office products to produce reports and documents.
Prepare and maintain case notes and reports to meet our funding and accountability requirements.
Experience in community engagement and program delivery.
Support and deliver financial literacy workshops to local groups.
A current working with children check (WA) and National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain.
DESIRABLE
Financial Literacy Education Skill Set or willingness to undertake study in this area within 12 months of commencement.
Previous experience working in case work or a similar role will be highly regarded, although training will be provided to the successful applicant.

SALARY AND CONDITIONS
As with all positions at Broome CIRCLE, this position is subject to ongoing funding. This position is classified under the SCHADS Award 2010, Social and Community Services Employee, between Level 3.1 and Level 3.4, depending on experience and qualifications. Flexible hours may be available for the right candidate.
Must be resident in Broome Western Australia.
Other conditions include:
Salary $42 – $45 per hour
4 weeks Annual Leave + 1-week remote leave allowance
12 % Superannuation
17.5% leave loading
