St John of God Geraldton Hospital is a 60-bed private hospital providing high-quality comprehensive medical and surgical care to people who live within the Geraldton and Mid-West areas of Western Australia.

Your role

As an experience Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role caring for our highly acute patients with complex health conditions. You will assist in providing intensive care including treatment and monitoring, for people who are in a critically ill or in an unstable condition and provide specialised care for individuals with complicated medical conditions.

You will be a valued member of our supportive and approachable multidisciplinary team, responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and effective manner.

The Position

  • Maintain and develop clinical skills in order to care for patients appropriate to level of competence.
  • Deliver a high standard of patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost effectively.
  • Adhere to and supports hospital policies, procedures and standards.
  • Act as the patient's advocate and facilitate the rights of individuals.
  • Provide patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care through the continuum of care.
  • Prioritise workload using resources effectively.
  • Provide supervision to Enrolled Nurses, students and PCAs as required

Applications will be considered for vacancies as they arise across various wards over the next 6 months.

You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.

To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Registered Nurses with demonstrated experience in managing highly acute and complex patient care within a hospital environment will be highly regarded.

  • $79,755 to $102,048 per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus 12 % superannuation
  • $50.29 to $64.35 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation
  • Full-time, part-time and casual positions available
