Pikmo is a dynamic tech company expanding its innovation capabilities. We’re building a new Innovation Department to develop cutting-edge software solutions (e.g., AI tools, fintech platforms).

Position Summary:

The Technical Lead for the AI & Innovation Department will be responsible for leading the design and development of next-generation intelligent software systems. This role will spearhead the company's AI initiative, with a focus on platform architecture, intelligent data services, machine learning integration, and advanced backend engineering. The successful candidate will lead a high-caliber R&D team that prototypes, builds, and deploys innovative products to serve Pikmo’s emerging business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

--Design and code scalable systems (e.g., microservices, APIs) using Java/Python.

-Design and build intelligent backend systems capable of supporting AI-driven recommendation engines, chat interfaces, and automation tools.

-Build PoCs for AI/fintech products (e.g., automated trading tools, payment gateways).

-Research and integrate open-source tools (e.g., Kafka, Redis) to solve business challenges.

-Oversee the development and deployment of scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and modern cloud-native practices.

-Integrate machine learning pipelines, inference APIs, and data processing services into core platforms.

-Establish and maintain DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure automation (e.g. Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes).

-Collaborate with China-based team to align projects with core products.

-Assist the company board in identifying tech trends related to cutting-edge software solutions

💼 Required Skills & Experience:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or AI/ML-related field.

-5+ years of experience in software engineering, including experience leading R&D or innovation-oriented teams.

-Strong programming background in Java, Python and AI related libraries.

-Experience with designing REST APIs, backend systems, and scalable cloud infrastructure.

-Experience with high-volume data processing.
