The Sales & Market Support Officer is responsible for maintaining and developing customer relationships from an administrative aspect, enhancing the customer experience through efficient service delivery. Additionally, this role will support strategic decision-making by contributing to market research and analysis activities and providing valuable insights to the Sales & Marketing team.

About The Role
The role involves managing customer enquiries and orders to ensure services are delivered effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Responsibilities include handling general customer enquiries, processing sales orders and invoices, coordinating domestic and international logistics, and providing prompt feedback to both customers and colleagues. Excellent communication across multiple channels, telephone, email, and web—is essential. The position also requires coordination with external service providers such as toll processors, shipping lines, and other relevant third parties. Timely logging of samples and customer complaints, along with maintaining clear communication on these matters, is expected. A key aspect of the role is aligning customer needs with QMAG’s operational and supply chain capabilities through close collaboration with internal stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes. Proactive communication of customer feedback to the Sales and Marketing team is important, as it is liaising with internal Credit, Quality, and Finance teams to support business continuity. The role also includes implementing pricing and marketing strategies, supporting the Sales & Marketing team by gathering and analyzing data from various sources including industry reports and competitive intelligence, and assisting in monitoring market dynamics such as competitor activities and technological advancements. Additionally, the position involves preparing regular reports and presentations to share insights with internal stakeholders and providing support to the Head of Sales & Marketing and other team members as needed.
The Requirements
We are looking for candidates with the following:
Demonstrated experience with order processing, booking and monitoring international sea freight
Strong computer skills (intermediate or advanced Microsoft Office Suite) and adaptability to new systems and processes
Strong research and information gathering skills, including the ability to identify and access relevant data sources
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and draw meaningful insights
SAP experience is desirable but not essential
