St Laurence's College is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice Tradition with an enrolment of approximately 2,000 boys from Years 5-12.
Applications are invited for a permanent, term-time Teacher Aide (Years 7-12) in our Diverse Learning Department, to commence as soon as possible (or in line with notice requirements).
Having experience working with students across the subject areas of Maths, Science, English, History & Geography in a Secondary School, would be an advantage. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:00pm (30 hours per week, Term-Time). This role does not work across the school holiday periods.
The role of Teacher Aide in our Diverse Learning Department is to provide quality educational service and care for students by assisting and supporting teachers with the management of students and enhancement of student learning.
Applicants should meet the criteria below:
At least 2-3 years’ experience in a Teacher Aide or Tutor role;
Must have experience working with students in a Secondary School setting;
Would suit a qualified Teacher (or University Student) wanting work and gain experience in the area of Special Education;
Hold a formal qualification eg Certificate III in Education Support; and
Hold a Current Paid Blue Card.
