New Director / Centre Manager Position - Looking for a New Start?

Privately Owned, 74 place centre, is looking for a dedicated Director / Centre Manager who inspires a team to achieve quality outcomes for children and families. The applicant must be highly motivated, experienced in being a centre Director, enthusiastic and have proven leadership skills in the Early Childhood sector.

The Role

As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the centre and provide innovative leadership to a small team of experienced and professional educators. You will need to have a solid understanding of the NQF and NQS and have the practical experience of being able to run a high-quality centre ensuring all regulatory obligations are being met. In addition to your leadership role, you will be required to be hands-on to support and guide educators in all aspects of the industry.

You will be supported by an experienced team in the day-to-day running of the centre and you will receive management and mentor support from the Operations Manager. This support also includes access to management and leadership training to ensure your skills are continually updated, providing excellent career development.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, it is expected that you have:

ACECQA approved Bachelor of Teaching/Education in Early Childhood Education or Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent

Must be able to meet current requirements to be approved as a Nominated Supervisor

Previous leadership and management experience as a 2IC / Centre Director / Centre Manager

Positive Notice – Working with Children Card for Child Related Employment, Child protection training: Identifying and responding to children and young people at risk of harm

Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates

Understanding of the NQF and NQS

Understanding of and commitment to competency early childhood practice that is informed by the Early Years Learning Framework

Effective skills in conflict resolution, team building and implementing performance review processes

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to build constructive working relationships with families and staff
