Mitchelton Role

We are seeking qualified, caring, and flexible Educators to support a family caring for two children aged 3 years and 17 months on a rotating roster.

Typical shifts include:

6:00am – 8:00pm

2:30pm – 8:00am

12:00pm – 8:00am

1:30pm – 11:30pm

The role involves a mix of early and late shifts, with overnight care required approximately 3–4 nights per month.
Average weekly hours: 40

Parkwood Role

This rewarding position involves caring for three children aged 3, 7, and 11 years in a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment. The children have experienced trauma, so this role requires an Educator who is trauma-informed, patient, and skilled at building strong, trusting relationships.

Approximate hours: 30 hours per week

Position details:

Days vary depending on the family’s roster (e.g., Thursdays and weekends)

Example working hours:

Weekends: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Weekdays: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM (includes school drop-off) and 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (includes school pick-up)

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, responsive care in the family home

Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities

Communicate effectively with families and the IHC Coordinator

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

What You Need

Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (JP verified)

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certification

Working With Children Check (WWCC) and Police Clearance

ABN and Public Liability Insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Current Child Protection Refresher Training

Confidence working independently in home-based settings

Minimum 3 years’ experience in early childhood or related care
