Human Care GP is a doctor-owned and patient-centred general practice located in Kent Town, seeking a registered nurse to join our team on a casual basis for 2.5 days per week.

About the Role

As a Practice Nurse at Human Care GP, you will be responsible for:

· Performing a range of clinical duties including triage, immunisations, chronic disease management, ECGs, ABI, spirometry

· Assisting doctors with clinical procedures such as minor procedures and iron infusion

· Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation

· Providing patient education and participating in health promotion activities

· Coordinating preventative health recalls

· Managing cold chain processes, infection control, clinical supplies and doctors' bag

· Contributing to a high standard of patient care and safety

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

· Current AHPRA nursing registration

· A minimum of one year’s nursing experience, preferably in a general practice or community-based setting

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to individuals across all ages and cultural groups

· A patient-focused approach with genuine empathy and attention to detail

· The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

· Strong organisational and time management skills

· Professional indemnity insurance

· Working with children’s card

· Police clearance

Desirable:

· Experience in immunisation schedules, chronic disease management and infection control

· Competence in using relevant medical software (e.g. Best Practice)

· Additional qualifications in areas such as women’s health, sexual health and well-being, diabetes education, or asthma/spirometry

· Knowledge of Medicare item numbers and health fund processes

· Able to assist at reception if required
