The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to lead and guide clinical trial teams, ensuring each study is delivered to the highest standards of quality and integrity. You’ll take ownership of complex trial coordination, applying your expertise and sound judgment to navigate challenges, solve problems, and keep research on track with ICH/GCP, UniSC CT SOPs and all relevant regulations. Working with independence and innovation, you’ll play a pivotal part in advancing clinical research that makes a real difference for our communities.

You will
lead and inspire a team of Senior Clinical Trial Coordinators and Associates, supporting them to deliver high-quality outcomes across designated trials;
oversee the planning and conduct of clinical research, ensuring every trial meets the highest standards of quality and compliance; and
work closely with the CT team, sponsors and monitors to drive progress and achieve the successful, on-time completion of clinical trials.

You’re at your best when juggling multiple trials, guiding teams, and building strong relationships with Principal Investigators, sponsors, and partners. With your deep knowledge and problem-solving mindset, you’re quick to find solutions that keep trials running smoothly and on time. You take pride in mentoring others, driving improvements, and ensuring every detail meets the highest standards of quality and compliance. Most importantly, you’re motivated by the knowledge that your work contributes to research that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.
You will possess
- A degree in Health Science, Bio-Medicine or a related field, with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent blend of education and training. (Registered Nurses must hold current AHPRA registration and meet the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards.)
- Hands-on experience in clinical trial coordination or clinical research, with a strong grasp of what it takes to keep trials running smoothly.
- Proven expertise in ethics and regulatory affairs, with the confidence to navigate complex frameworks.
- A thorough understanding of clinical research practices, including contractual and ethical obligations, ICH-GCP, and all relevant regulations.
- Strong digital skills, with the ability to manage databases, clinical trial systems, and confidently use word processing and spreadsheets.
- A clear understanding of privacy principles and the importance of protecting health information.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to travel between trial sites and adjust to varied hours when needed, including participation in a 24/7 on-call or confinement roster to support time-sensitive studies.
