Heavy Vehicle Technician – Maidstone – Firefly Coaches - Group of Companies

Join our dynamic team at Firefly Coaches, where a fulfilling and fast-paced role awaits you as a Heavy Vehicle Technician. In this position, you'll be engaged in servicing and repairing an impressive array of modern Scania Coaches.

We are seeking self-motivated individuals with strong time management skills, attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, diagnostic proficiency, and repair expertise. This full-time permanent role operates Monday to Friday, with rostered Saturday work.

Your main responsibilities

Conduct repairs, services, safety inspections, and examinations on engines, gearboxes, brakes, differentials, etc., for Scania Coaches,

Perform diagnostic analysis using diagnostic software and computer equipment,

Produce clear and concise reports detailing all work carried out on repair orders including supplies used and recommendations in a prioritised order, and

Provide support and guidance to Apprentice technicians.

You will need to have:

Minimum Certificate 3 mechanical trade certificate/qualification,

Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry, preferred,

Experience in the Bus and Coach industry, preferred,

Experience with European drivelines will be highly regarded,

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team,

Current HC/HR driver's license is advantageous,

Demonstrated pride in work, with the ability to meet targets and uphold high standards,

Motivated, reliable, and possesses a positive can-do attitude,

Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety,

Maintains a clean and organized workspace, and

Must have own tools.
