Position Overview
The Productivity Supervisor is responsible for driving efficiency, accountability, and safety across all production and dispatch operations. This role plays a vital part in optimising factory performance by reducing Lean Waste, improving workflow, supporting the dispatch process, and ensuring a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Productivity
Lead efforts to reduce Lean Waste, specifically Waiting, Motion, and Defects.
Monitor and improve factory team productivity and utilisation.
Implement and reinforce clear process controls and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
Use leadership to communicate clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and foster accountability.
Support team training and cross-skilling to ensure flexibility and coverage within the production team.
Dispatch Procedures
Oversee preparation, documentation, and accuracy of outgoing orders.
Ensure products are correctly packaged and labelled with correct documentation.
Coordinate with production and logistics to ensure timely and complete dispatch.
Maintain accurate records of all shipments and proactively address discrepancies.
Safety
Take ownership of workplace safety within the production and dispatch areas.
Identify and respond to safety risks and hazards with a proactive mindset.
Ensure team members adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and responsibly, ensuring proper licensing and compliance.
Support a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement in safety practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory or team leadership role.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in operating within an ERP system is beneficial
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and waste reduction techniques.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, set expectations, and drive accountability.
Effective communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
Forklift license with unstable load movement experience (essential).
A proactive, can-do attitude with a focus on team success and safety.
