About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic Assessor - Licensed Electricians Assessment to support the effective delivery of the Licensed Electricians Assessment (LEA). Key Responsibilities

• Conduct the Licensed Electricians Assessment (LEA) following established procedures
• Set up assessment rooms and verify candidate identity and eligibility
• Monitor candidates during assessments and ensure compliance with rules
• Distribute and collect assessment papers securely
• Record and report incidents or suspected breaches
• Respond to basic enquiries and assist the Lead LEA Assessor
• Maintain accurate records aligned with regulatory standards

Skills and Experience Required

• Certificate IV in TAE Assessor Skill (minimum)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) preferable

• A current A Grade Electrical Licence
• Appropriate educational qualification
• Recent industry experience
• Strong communication skills, especially in quiet assessment environments
• Awareness of candidate stress factors during assessments
• Understanding of Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) guidelines

Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

• A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  
• A National Police Check
