About the Role

We’re currently looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.

This hands-on role will support electrical maintenance, and installation works across a range of industrial and commercial sites in Ballarat. You’ll work closely with project managers, site supervisors and clients to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

This position is ideal for a qualified electrician with experience in process-driven environments who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and works well both independently and in a team.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair in line with Australian standards

Interpret schematics and electrical drawings to perform work accurately

Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using a range of testing equipment

Complete work orders via MEX or other CMMS platforms

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance

Complete accurate and timely documentation including testing sheets, SWMS, JSAs, pre-starts and Certificates of Electrical Safety

Work across a variety of environments including hazardous areas, food processing facilities, brownfield and greenfield sites

Supervise and support apprentices

Maintain and return company tools, ladders and equipment

Support after-hours work and weekend shutdowns as needed

Participate in the on-call roster

Skills & Experience

Demonstrated experience as an industrial or maintenance electrician

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and documentation

Proficient in fault-finding and diagnostics

Strong attention to safety and compliance

Confident using CMMS systems like MEX

Positive, professional approach to working with teams and clients

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces

Essential Requirements

Current Victorian A Grade Electrical Licence

Australian Driver’s Licence

EWP and Boom Lift Ticket

Q-Fever Vaccination (or willingness to obtain)

Full working rights in Australia

Ability to pass drug & alcohol screening and police checks
