About the role
We’re seeking a values-aligned Coordinator – Mental Health Policy and System Design to join our high-performing, purpose-led team. In this pivotal role, you’ll contribute to the full commissioning cycle from planning and design to procurement, contracting, monitoring, and evaluation. You’ll help deliver impactful, evidence-based, and locally tailored mental health programs that make a real difference.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement commissioning activities related to mental health policy and system design
- Support integrated planning, procurement, and service design initiatives in collaboration with providers and regional stakeholders
- Help maintain strong relationships with PHNs, national organisations, and local services to drive cohesive and responsive service delivery
- Ensure access and equity are prioritised, particularly for First Nations people and other priority populations
- Facilitate meaningful engagement with consumers and carers to ensure their voices influence service outcomes
- Represent the organisation on key working groups, committees, and external forums
- Maintain accurate records in program databases and contribute to quality improvement activities across the team
About you
- You’re a systems thinker with experience in mental health, health policy, social services, or related commissioning environments.
- Strong project coordination skills across the commissioning lifecycle.
- A collaborative and respectful working style with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- A commitment to equity, co-design, and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication, data recording, and reporting abilities

- Salary $97,106.04 base + Super + Salary Packaging
