About the opportunity
Based at one of our beautiful campuses (Gold Coast, Lismore or Coffs Harbour), this position plays a key role in maintaining and optimising the Library’s systems and digital tools, including the research repository, discovery platform and library website. You’ll work within a small, flexible team, supporting a wide range of users while contributing to projects that improve the digital library experience.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate and support systems such as Alma, Primo VE, Esploro, and the Library website.
- Administer the Library’s digital content services and resource discovery systems, including the Library’s website, research outputs repository and integrations with third-party applications.
- Provide user-focused advice and support to stakeholders and vendors.
- Contribute to system testing and implementation of new technologies and tools.
- Identify, develop, implement and evaluate innovative digital services, technologies and workflows, with an emphasis on user experience, best practice, and accessibility
About you
You’ll bring a strong understanding of university libraries and digital information environments, paired with a curiosity for technology and excellent communication skills. You thrive in a small team, are comfortable juggling multiple systems and tasks, and enjoy learning on the job.
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
- A relevant qualification at degree level or above, with experience in academic libraries or with digital systems highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the application and management of systems within the academic library context, e.g. resource discovery, metadata and accessibility standards.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver practical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
- Enthusiasm for improving digital experiences in a library setting.
Salary and benefits

- Full-time, continuing (permanent)
- Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480. Generous relocation support available.
- HEW Level 6. The base salary ranges from $92,716 - $101,691 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $ 118,979.
