Your Opportunity
We’re seeking a qualified Painter to join our Mount Isa depot, where you’ll play a key role in refurbishing schools, public facilities, and social housing. From restoring heritage buildings to modernising workspaces, your work will directly impact the local community. You’ll also assist with emergency response efforts and collaborate with government partners to expand QBuild’s services across North West Queensland.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A valid Painting qualification (Certificate III in Painting and Decorating)
Experience in surface preparation, finishing techniques, and coatings
A commitment to workplace safety and high-quality craftsmanship
A willingness to use digital tools (yes, even painters need to check emails!)
A passion for mentoring apprentices and passing on your skills
