About the role

We’re looking for a qualified painter, experienced decorator, or apprentice with drive to join our growing team on the Sunshine Coast. You’ll be working on premium repaints and restoration projects with a company that values quality, culture, and long-term career growth.

A day in the life at Pether’s

You’ll be part of a tight-knit crew delivering high-end repaints and restoration projects across the Sunshine Coast. We’re all about clean, consistent systems and doing the job right the first time — and that’s made possible by our amazing team.

In your day-to-day, you’ll:

Tackle premium interior and exterior painting projects (including heritage and timber work)

Use ServiceM8 daily to keep everything flowing smoothly on site

Follow clearly defined scopes and prep standards

Work alongside professional foremen and decorators who take pride in what they do

Contribute to a site culture that’s tidy, respectful, and safety-conscious

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for people who take pride in their work, show initiative, and want to be part of a team that genuinely supports each other.

Whether you're:

A qualified painter

A highly experienced decorator

Or partway through your apprenticeship
—we’d love to hear from you.

We’re also open to bringing on new apprentices who are eager to learn and grow with the business.

You’ll ideally have:

Some hands-on painting experience (domestic or commercial)

Solid prep and finishing skills (or a willingness to develop them)

A driver’s licence and reliable transport

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A good attitude and a clean, professional appearance
