Reporting to the Program Director– Project Delivery, the Project Officer will support the Project Delivery Team, specifically providing project support through managing, and coordinating development of Blue Care, UnitingCare Community, UnitingCare Hospitals and UnitingCare Queensland capital works projects. The Project Officer will assist in delivering UCQ’s capital works portfolio which is aligned to strategy and ensuring projects are delivered within time, scope, quality and within budget parameters.
This work involves stakeholder engagement with internal and external project managers and will drive cross-functional collaboration. The position holder will be a key conduit between the key stakeholders, Project Managers and the Program Director.

Your part in our UnitingCare team
Assist the Project Delivery team in the development of project management documents, applying project management best practices, including governance processes, risk management, benefit tracking, and reporting standards.
Coordinate day-to-day activities across capital projects, including new developments and asset renewals, to support timely and efficient delivery.
Schedule stakeholder meetings and generate associated documentation as requested by Project Delivery Team.
Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication across teams.
Ensure timely flow of information and progress on decisions.
Assist the Project Managers monitor project interdependencies and external factors that may impact delivery, escalating risks or conflicts as needed.
Contribute to problem-solving and decision-making processes by identifying opportunities and supporting the development of practical solutions.
Help track and report on key project success metrics.
What makes a difference for us?
Tertiary qualification in property or a related field
Project management competency certification
Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge and use of Power BI and MS Project applications
Keen interest in problem-solving, analytical and conceptual skills
Understanding of health and safety legislation and experience in fostering a best practice safety culture
Understanding management of minor and medium capital works projects
Proven accurate thinking and working independently, and organisational/planning skills
Ability to work within a team environment and manage stakeholder expectations
Demonstrated self-discipline through managing competing priorities and delivering quality outcomes on time and within budget
Understanding of project and program administration requirements including associated reporting, benchmark analysis and record keeping
Demonstrated highly effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including advanced computer skills
