About the role

Focused on Care is seeking an experienced female Senior Support Worker to join our team in Inala, Queensland. This is a full-time hybrid role supporting our client with their support needs as well as some admin duties including shift note review, timesheet approval and stakeholder engagement.

What you'll be doing

Working directly with our client in her home in Inala providing direct supports to her with another team member

Supporting a team of support workers to deliver high-quality care to our client

Developing and implementing care plans to meet the individual needs of the client

Assisting with compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the delivery of disability support services

Collaborating with clients, their families and broader care team to provide holistic care

Monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided and making improvements as needed

What we're looking for

Experience in a similar in-home senior support worker role

Experience with challenging behaviours and implementing PBSP plans

Strong knowledge of disability support regulations and best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, families and care workers

Proven leadership and people management capabilities to effectively coordinate a team

Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands

A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable clients

Relevant tertiary qualifications in aged care, disability support or a related field
