The Role

As Senior Site Manager, you’ll be the driving force on the ground – coordinating people, subcontractors, suppliers, and timelines to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and the leadership team to ensure Coplex continues to set the benchmark for construction excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Site & Project Leadership

Take full ownership of site-based operations across all phases of construction, from pre-start through to final handover

Interpret and implement project plans, construction drawings, and technical specifications in line with Coplex quality standards.

Lead weekly site meetings, toolbox talks, and coordinate daily site briefings to ensure clear communication of tasks and expectations

Program & Progress Management

Maintain and track project timelines, sequencing of works, and daily/weekly schedules to ensure alignment with project milestones

Identify risks or delays early and implement corrective actions in consultation with the Project Manager

Provide regular site updates and contribute to project reporting, including daily diaries and progress photos

Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination

Manage day-to-day performance of subcontractors and trades to ensure productivity, quality and compliance

Coordinate deliveries, materials and plant to align with program requirements and minimise downtime

Monitor and manage resourcing needs on-site, escalating issues proactively

Quality Assurance

Implement and enforce quality control procedures across all construction activities

Conduct regular inspections to ensure works comply with contract documents, codes, and Coplex workmanship standards

Oversee defect management process and support commissioning and handover activities

Work Health & Safety (WHS)

Promote a strong safety-first culture across site at all times

Ensure compliance with all WHS legislation, codes of practice, and Coplex safety procedures

Maintain site safety documentation, conduct site inductions, SWMS reviews, and incident investigations as required

Stakeholder & Client Communication

Represent Coplex professionally on-site in all client and consultant interactions

Act as a key contact for day-to-day site matters, resolving queries and maintaining clear, respectful communication channels

Provide input into design resolution and buildability reviews where required

Team Development & Mentoring

Support and develop Site Supervisors, Forepersons and junior staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment

Lead by example, upholding Coplex’s values of integrity, respect, and accountability

Contribute to team reviews and feedback loops to continuously improve project delivery

What You Bring

Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager in Residential or Commercial construction (Tier 2/Tier 3 experience preferred)

Trade background or tertiary qualification in Construction Management or related field

Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills

Deep knowledge of construction methodologies, WHS, and site compliance

High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
