Glenleigh Wholesale Nursery, a leading supplier of quality plants including hedging plants, shrubs and conifers, servicing nurseries and garden centres across NSW and the ACT.

We are currently recruiting for two Nursery Hands to join our team.

Role Overview

The roles primarily involve detailing, and packing customer orders for dispatch in a fast-paced environment. Additional tasks may include potting, weeding, picking and general plant maintenance. The positions require a high degree of autonomy, versatility, and the ability to meet targets while working unsupervised. The work is physically demanding, involving repetitive lifting and outdoor work in all weather conditions (rain or shine).

Work Hours

Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Friday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM

38-hour work week

Employment Type

Full-time positions available with a 3-month probationary period

Casual positions may also be offered

Essential Criteria

Positive, enthusiastic, and hardworking attitude

High level of physical fitness for repetitive lifting and moving

Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Self-motivated with a mature outlook

Reliable, punctual, and able to focus on tasks

Proficient English language skills

Interest in horticulture

Ability to safely lift and carry loads up to 20kg repeatedly throughout the day

Valid Australian driver's licence and reliable transport (no public transport available)

Must have the right to work in Australia

Ability to start ASAP

Desirable Criteria

Previous nursery experience (desirable but not essential)
