Security and Emergency Management (Readiness) Program Officer

The High Commission of Canada, in Canberra, is looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to fill the position of Security and Emergency Management Program Officer.

The role is responsible for providing services to enhance operational and physical security planning, as well as the identification, assessment, monitoring, and management of risks related to the security of the High Commission`s people, information, and assets. This mandate is accomplished through specific tasks that include, but are not limited to:

Developing and delivering security and emergency management activities

Developing and delivering security and emergency management briefing and communication products to employees

Developing and maintaining a network of security and emergency management relationships, including with local and national governments, diplomatic missions, corporations, and others, representing the High Commission`s interests

Researching, monitoring and tracking local developments and events that could have a potential impact on the High Commission`s people, information and assets

Assisting with financial management of the program, including with contracting and procurement
