About the Role
As a Senior Speech Pathologist within Central Adelaide Local Health Network’s (CALHN) Integrated Care Geriatric Services, you’ll play a vital role in improving the quality of life for older South Australians. Working across innovative models of care including Geriatric Outreach Services, Geriatrics in the Home, and the Multidisciplinary Community Geriatric Service, you’ll lead the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based speech pathology services that support communication, cognition, and swallowing in patients with complex conditions.
In this sole clinician role, you’ll work closely with a dynamic multidisciplinary team, providing advanced clinical input, shaping patient pathways, and supporting safe discharge planning. You’ll also represent speech pathology across CALHN initiatives, contribute to the development of best practice models, and play a key part in improving non-pharmacological care strategies for individuals with behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) in residential and community settings.
About You
You will be a dedicated and experienced clinician who is passionate about delivering consumer-centred, evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary aged care setting.
Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
Minimum three years of relevant clinical experience in aged care, rehabilitation, or acute settings.
Strong capability in assessing and managing dysphagia, cognitive, and communication disorders.
National Police Check (NPC) and meet vaccination requirements.
