Our client is a leading organsiation that sits across the Australian landscape. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Data Scientist to join the team within this growing and developing data function.

Working across meaningful data analysis as well as creating models, this role will work across a range of stakeholders from all business areas.
Responsibility of the role will include: -

• Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports using tools such as R, SQL, and Databricks
• Translate analytical findings into actionable insights for a range of stakeholders
• Contribute to the design and evolution of analytical environments and data frameworks
• Engage in cross-departmental collaboration to understand data needs and deliver practical solutions
• Participate in weekly team meetings and regular check-ins to support continuous improvement

Along with your strong communication skills and your interest in working within a developing data landscape, you will have: -

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Analyst, with hands-on expertise across R programming, SQL, Databricks, analytical environments
• Industry experience ideally within utilities or education is preferred
• Highly inquisitive and curious, with a passion for data exploration and discovery
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply theoretical knowledge to practical contexts
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable to change
