An exciting opportunity is now available for a Registered Nurse with strong clinical expertise in paediatrics and/or mental health, looking to take on a leadership role within an acute paediatric unit as the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Burnie, Tasmania

Working in close collaboration with senior staff including the Nurse Unit Manager and Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering high-quality, trauma-informed, recovery-focused care to children and adolescents presenting with mental health concerns.

In this role, you will lead and support a multidisciplinary team during designated shifts, ensuring the delivery of best-practice, trauma-informed care in line with national mental health standards. You will also contribute to service development and clinical improvement initiatives while acting as a clinical resource and role model for junior nursing staff.

Essential Criteria:

Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)

Current Working with Children Registration

Significant experience in paediatric and/or mental health nursing

Desirable:

Working towards or completion of postgraduate qualifications in paediatrics, mental health, or leadership

Previous experience in a senior or leadership nursing role is desirab;e
