With over 70 years in the Western Australia market, our client is renowned for their delivery of medium sized projects ranging from $20-$50 million right across schools, shopping centres and commercial buildings.

With the recent award of a centrally located Student accommodation project valued at $40m, they are now looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Project manager to join their Perth team andsuccessfully deliver the project.
As Project Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the successful delivery of our client’s construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality.

Commercial Construction experience is essential, as well as experience with projects ranging from $20m – $50m in value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage contractual risks with the client and subcontractors and be accountable for the project in terms of time, cost, quality and delivery.
• The overall site management of all assigned projects, including ensuring that projects are completed, safely and in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications.
• Support, lead and guide the project team, nurturing a cohesive team and ensuring excellent communication between administration and site management.
• Produce current and accurate monthly project reporting, project forecasts, cost forecasting, cash flow, variations approved and pending.
• Develop and maintain the construction program in liaison with the General Manager as well as short term forecasts.
• Completing all tasks as assigned and carrying out duties in accordance with the company’s safety, environmental and quality policies, safety principles, corporate values and strategies.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards, building codes, and OHS regulations.
• 10 + years’ experience in the construction industry, with at least 7 years as a Project Manager on commercial building projects.
• Proven experience delivering mid-sized to large construction projects (typically $20M–$50M).
• Experience working specifically with Tier 2 builders or contractors in Australia.
• Strong background in:

- Project planning and scheduling
- Budget and cost management
- Stakeholder management (clients, consultants, subcontractors)
- Risk management and quality assurance

• Prior experience managing:

- Design & Construct (D&C) or Construct Only contracts
- Site teams, including CAs, Project Engineers, Site Managers, Foremen, and subcontractors

• Sound understanding of WA construction market, subcontractor network and local construction methodologies.
