About the role:
We are seeking to establish an experienced full-time laboratory technician to support our existing team.
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, our team of Laboratory Technicans are accountable for conducting quality analytical services according to well established and prescribed protocols.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Nucleic acid extraction
Conducting high throughput microarray-based screening of samples
PCR and qPCR testing
ELISA testing
QC Evaluation of results
Maintenance of NATA accreditation and laboratory standards
Maintaining high standards of laboratory safety
Records and sample management
About you:
Relevant degree or equivalent experience
Excellent knowledge of diagnostics, laboratory activities and processes
Enthusiasm and a keenness to learn
Ability to troubeshoot
Previous experience within a laboratory setting
Good knowledge of NATA laboratory requirements
Demonstrated skill in prioritization, planning and time management.
Good communication skills
Enthusiasm and a willingness to work.
