About the Opportunity

As Contracts Manager, reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with experienced Project Managers across multiple business entities. You’ll lead contract negotiation, risk mitigation, and compliance, playing a critical role in protecting the business commercially while supporting project delivery and financial outcomes.

This is a hands-on and strategic role suited to someone with a legal mindset, strong commercial acumen, and a passion for improving systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead negotiation, preparation, execution, and management of contracts

Act as an advisor on all contractual matters across the business

Identify and mitigate commercial risks during project lifecycle

Interpret project scopes, track deliverables, and ensure alignment with contract terms

Provide guidance on claims, variations, and dispute resolution

Support project managers in subcontractor negotiations and supplier payments

Attend monthly project meetings and liaise with key stakeholders

Maintain contract registers and ensure accurate documentation of all variations

Implement and continuously improve contract management systems and processes

Ensure governance, compliance, and commercial integrity in all agreements

About You

Are you a confident communicator and natural problem solver with a strong foundation in contract law and commercial construction?

Do you have;

Tertiary qualifications in Law, Contract Management, Construction Law, or similar?

Proven experience in managing construction or commercial contracts?

Ability to interpret and negotiate legal terms and conditions?

High-level stakeholder management and communication skills?

Strong organisational skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach?

Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Excel, or similar project tools? (advantageous)

A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a long-term career mindset?
