Within the Infrastructure Planning unit, the Asset and Data Integration (ADI) team supports Roads ACT and City Presentation in managing Canberra’s public places and infrastructure. Our work spans asset, data, and program management; geospatial planning and analysis; and delivering business intelligence to inform future strategies, policies, and investment programs.

We are currently seeking an experienced Geospatial Asset Data Manager to fill a temporary six-month vacancy, with the possibility of extension or permanency. This Spatial Data and Information Manager position is central to supporting Roads ACT’s infrastructure asset management functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and coordination of geospatial and asset data capabilities to support Infrastructure Planning and Roads ACT.
• Provide oversight and technical direction for spatial data initiatives.
• Supervise a team of three geospatial and asset data professionals.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and alignment with CED objectives.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in spatial sciences or a related field are highly desirable.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. This position will be working in a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
