Location and Compensation
Based in Blackburn, Melbourne
Full-time position with a salary range of $150,000 to $160,000 + superannuation
Job Description:
Work with Corporate Consolidation and Regional FPA teams to ensure the necessary entities are set up in HFM.
Work with local finance teams to ensure a smooth and streamlined close process.
Build mapping tables from General Ledger to HFM and where possible store in ERP.
Work with Treasury to ensure all necessary banking change.
Ensure Allegion controls around banking are implemented.
Take initial responsibility for all FPA reporting required by Allegion (AOP, Forecast, Headline, ARC etc.) and after a period of time migrate these activities to the local team.
Evaluate results and report recommendations to management. Provide leadership in initiating improvements.
Assume role of SOX Site Co-Ordinator for the new acquisition.
Co-ordination of Compliance activities across APAC
Ensure internal controls are implemented and Design Assessment performed for all new acquisitions
Support Finance Director, Corporate Development and Compliance, International on rolling out all accounting and policy changes to new acquisitions and any ad hoc requirements.
Coordinate and oversee periodic internal control testing. Evaluate findings and monitor the cycle of creation of action plans to issue remediation.
What will make you succeed in this role?
BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting
5 years general accounting and financial reporting experience.
Bi-lingual skills (Fluent in English)
Relevant experience demonstrating an aptitude for analyzing systems, processes and operational procedures.
Strong understanding of auditing procedures and information technology general computer control concepts.
Strong financial systems experience.
Auditing and Big Four experience preferable.
Knowledge of US GAAP
Project management experience with the ability to work independently on special projects and complex assignments.
Excellent excel and data analysis skills.
Proficient in MS digital tools including Word and PowerPoint
