Our privately owned general practice in the process of expanding and looking for a Administrative Assistant to join our team.
Your role will include but not limited to assisting the Practice Manager in the following:
· General office management tasks including payroll, invoicing & receipting payment, responding to daily email/requests, assisting staff enquiries.
· Working with the Practice partners to ensure smooth running of practice policies.
· Adhering to Practice Procedures Manual
· Liaising with staff and clinical team as well as external parties
· Ensuring continuous quality improvement of practice.
· Knowledge of computer/IT systems and Microsoft Office programs.
· Experience with Best Practice is preferred but not essential.
· Experience with Xero accounting software.
· Communicating with Medicare regarding billing.
· Attending to patient requests/enquiries.
· Ability to lead and motivate staff to work together in a harmonious environment.
You may be required to perform reception shifts and reception relief which include:
· Providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors of the practice
· Basic computer skills using medical software
· Patient registration and maintaining accurate patient records
· Appointment scheduling over the phone and in person
· Document management - scanning and filing
· Payments and receipting
· Opening and closing practice- including general cleaning
To be successful in this position you will have a minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative role, have a positive and enthusiastic attitude and be able to communicate competently. Your ability to effectively prioritise multiple tasks in a fast paced environment is essential.
Previous experience in the above is highly desirable but not essential as on-site training will be provided.
Hours: 20-24per week (negotiable)
Remuneration negotiable based on successful applicant’s experience.
