About the Role:

We’re seeking an Leading Hand Carpenter to take charge of small-scale (one or 2 day job) attic conversions in domestic homes. You’ll be working with one offsider, focusing on one project at a time. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a reliable and skilled carpenter who enjoys working independently and seeing a job through from start to finish.

Whether you have recently completed your carpentry apprenticeship and are looking to step up, or already supremely experience and looking to get rid of the admin and focus on the build we have a role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Leading the build of attic conversions in residential properties

Coordinating on-site tasks and overseeing your offsider

Ensuring work is completed to high standards, efficiently and safely

Liaising with homeowners on site as needed (office handles all quoting/invoicing etc.)

Managing materials and keeping the site clean and organised

Knocking off early if the job’s done early—no need to drag out the day. Never any weekend overtime, rarely overtime during the weeks as the jobs are designed to be completed by knock off time.

What’s Provided:

Please of training, working with other teams until you are fully confident in the role.

A company van for transport to and from site (once you are up to speed doing your own jobs)

All jobs fully quoted, scheduled, and invoiced by the office

A consistent stream of projects, we are now booked months in advance hence the need for the new teams. (one job at a time—no hopping around)

never fall weeks behind schedule as all jobs are small domestics jobs, mostly planned to be completed in one day (or less).

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified carpenter with solid experience in residential work, particularly experience with (Western Australia) roof carpentry.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to run small jobs independently

Comfortable guiding an offsider and solving on-site challenges

Reliable, honest, and takes pride in quality workmanship

Own tools (van is provided, and specialist tool you don't already own can be provided)

White Card and driver’s license (Manual)
